Indian government launched steel import monitoring system - pre painted galvanized steel coil manufacturers

According to the report, the Indian Government has launched a steel import monitoring system (SIMS) to provide advanced information on steel imports for steel producers and importers to intervene more effectively. The Minister of Trade and Industry started the system developed in a discussion with the Ministry of Steel on the model of the US Steel Import Monitoring and Analysis System (SIMA). For all steel products designated to be imported, these products will need to be registered in advance on the SIMS web portal to provide information. In addition, importers will register no earlier than 60 days and no later than 15 days before the expected date of import goods. Registration will be valid for 75 days after the number is generated. The abbreviation PPGI stands for pre-painted galvanized iron. It’s alternative names are pre-coated steel, pre-painted galvanized steel, coil coated steel, etc.   The part of the PPGI a bbreviation is GI, which stands for (yes you know it), galvanized iron. Galvanized iron is essentially a zinc coating on steel sheet, which role is to protect the steel when exposed to corroding environment (galvanic protection).
